TB-5135 Taber friction and wear tester is modified on the basis of Taber abrasion tester in USA. It is used to measure the wear resistance, friction coefficient, friction torque and evaluate the wear resistance of materials, such as mass loss, thickness loss and transmittance.


Working Principle: 

The material to be tested is placed on the turntable, and two grinding wheels exert a certain load to make it rotate and wear at a certain speed driven by the rotary table. In the test, the surface material of the sample is worn by particles or silk fabrics at all angles to form a complete ring. The grinding wheel rotates with the rotating surface of the sample plate, resulting in relative motion and wear. In the process of rotation, the offset of the grinding wheel shaft relative to the rotating shaft of the rotary table produces sliding motion. The torque signal of friction is obtained by the sensor, and then amplified and input into the computer. The torque signal is converted to A / D and the friction coefficient curve is obtained through calculation. This will wear the material.

The vacuum cleaner removes wear debris. The suction arm of the vacuum pump is connected to the adjustable device on the back of the instrument through a hinge, and the height can be precisely adjusted to suit different sample thicknesses.
